FINALLY a good use for Bluetooth!

IVT has announced a cellphone that acts like a cordless phone in the home using Bluetooth™ technology. I personally know many people who ONLY have a cellphone and this might actually be a boon to wireline operators and might get some partnerships going with forward-looking carriers.

Of course, if it catches on, then it might do some serious damage to the cordless phone market. After all, having only one number and one handset is VERY attractive to consumers.

IMO, this is a much more likely and attractive business for all the languishing BT suppliers than entering the mudwrestling ring with UWB.....
